Kind in the news
June 24, 2008
We found ourselves in the latest issue of the Bicycle Retailer and Industry News magazine. The article is about alternative channels for selling bikes. Its a good read on the state of how and where people are buying higher end bikes. Check it out.
While the article states we are selling online, we are also working dilligently on placing our bikes at select dealers that can help us spread the good word of Kind Bicycles. Stay tuned for updates.

“Major suppliers are all over the Handmade Bike Show trying to find out the next big thing, be it paint or some style trend or whatever,” said Wayne Thompson of Kind bikes. “But what major suppliers are totally ignoring is their business model.”
Bingo.
Very well said.
It seems that a good number of companies adapt to change slowly and reactively, oftne kicking and screaming all the way (figuratively). But the real key is to anticipate change and adapt proactively. A smart company finds a way to provide ALL of its customers (that’s dealers AND riders) with what they need and desire, making it a win-win situation for all.
Change is inevitable, and the pace of change in the bike biz ain’t slowin’ down anytime soon. And with transportation costs going through the roof, bike companies that make practical transportation machines have been given a rare and enormous opportunity.
Now how do I buy a Kind bike? I sent you guys an email but no reply yet. Are you selling them yet?
Thanks!
