Kind Partners
Whether it is supporting advocacy organizations, empowering people in developing nations by donating bikes so they can live more fulfilling lives or utilizing manufacturing techniques that are less damaging to mother earth, we require our suppliers to demonstrate a deep sense of obligation to social and environmental concerns and is core to their business philosophy.
- WTB
- The guys over at WTB have been at this game a long time. Their advocacy efforts date back to the mid eighties. And their product? Well, it speaks for itself.

- Freedom
- The entire line of Freedom components focuses on a mode-share shift from cars to bicycles with comfort, performance and affordability in mind. Freedom says it “does not expect the whole world to collectively drop its car keys and switch to cycling. It merely hopes to encourage potential bike riders through well-designed, enticing components at a welcoming price.”
Kind says, why not? But we digress and want you to know that 1 percent of all Freedom sales goes to the realization of a safer, non-motorized transportation infrastructure. Very cool. - Visit site
- Kore
- We are using Kore bars and stems on the majority of our bikes and their cantilever brakes that cyclingnews.com says have the firm feel of old-school designs but add far more versatile pad and spring tension adjustments. Our friends at Kore are pioneering sustainability at the supply level. An innovative carton recycling program ensures that Kore’s OE packaging is returned back to their factory for reuse over and over again.

- SRAM
- Bomb proof internal hubs, the best mechanical brakes on the market today and shiny cranks. Of course, SRAM is much more than that on the component side. In addition to being the most innovative drive train company out there (in our opinion) their focus on World Bicycle Relief is what caught our attention.

- Planet Bike
- While we are not putting their pink fenders on our bikes (yet), we are using their sweet lights, silver fenders and bottle cages with more spec coming. Planet Bike donates 25% of their profits to advocacy and was an inspiration to Kind when we decided to go forward with our brand. They also make Madison, Wisco home which made it easy for us to bum our bikes a ride home from Interbike.
